NZIPS New Zealand Estimates of the Total Social and Economic Cost of Injuries 2007-2010

NZIPS New Zealand Estimates of the Total Social and Economic Cost of Injuries 2007-2010 (PDF 395Kb)

This report calculates the cost of injuries to New Zealand from 2007-2010 for assault, drowning, falls, suicide and self-harm, road crashes and workplace injuries. It also provides cost estimates for two sub-populations: Maori and children aged 0-14. The report enables us to gauge the total cost of injury to New Zealand, and changes to this over time; it updates the cost of injury report released by the NZIPS Secretariat in 2010.
